Your team and your responsibilities

Team description

 

Vehicle Safety team takes care of development and evaluation of Passive Safety performances of vehicles.

Supporting Toyota’s strong commitment to safety, we strive to guarantee compliance to all legal (EC Regulations), as well as other (real life safety, consumer ratings etc.) requirements covering Interior Safety, Protection of Pedestrians, Child Protection and crash performance of EU models.

 

Your responsibilities

 

Your primary responsibility will be technical development of vehicle safety.

You will have to learn and understand all necessary requirements, processes, methods and tools.

You will be working with other evaluation groups, vehicle body designers, Toyota’s Japanese office and external parties in order to:

  • Grasp status of evolving requirements (legal, customer driven and other)
  • Translate these requirements into clear targets for new projects
  • Develop, predict, follow up implementation, and evaluate different Passive Vehicle Safety performances (crash) by means of simulations and actual tests.
  • Propose, develop and implement new efficient methods of performance prediction and evaluation using DA/DS
  • Work with testing labs to plan, organize and execute testing programs
  • Participate in Working Groups and discussions (internal and external) defining future requirements and reflect to future activities of Safety Team.

Your Profile

For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)

  • You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
  • You are a career starter (less than 18 months of experience, excluding internships)
  • You love cars and everything related to mobility
  • You are passionate about technology and ready to evolve together with fast-changing environment
  • Master in Engineering (mechanical, automotive, aerospace, material science or similar)
  • Experience with some commercial CAD/CAE environments (ex. CATIA, LS-Dyna, Beta CAE, Altair etc.)
  • Very strong assets: Data Science, good coding skills (Python)
  • You like both simulations and real-life hands-on testing
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills reinforced by good common sense
  • You are quick and eager learner with flexible mind and good eye for details
  • You are a team player with excellent communication skills inside a multicultural environment
  • Good self-organization and time management
