Your team and your responsibilities

Team description

 

The Production Planning department is at the heart of Toyota’s manufacturing operations. From our headquarters in Europe we manage the short and long term production plan of our 4 vehicle plants and our 3 Engine plants in Europe.

All operations are planned and organised in accordance with the concepts of the Toyota Production System (TPS) to achieve Safety, Quality, Just-in-Time and Cost objectives.

 

Your responsibilities

 

As part of the team, you will be required to:

  • Understand Toyota Motor Europe's status, direction and challenges, and how it will impact our Supply Chain and Manufacturing Plants operation
  • Understand the manufacturing plants conditions (current, past performance etc), restrictions and flexibility
  • Grasp the Sales demand and understand it (Risk & opportunity, trend etc)
  • Make proposals for production plans considering the above (including the longer term perspective)
  • Get agreement for production volumes with Manufacturing Plants and TME Top Management
  • Make and issue the Production Plan (Short Term and Long Term)
  • Grasp the concerns toward meeting future demand
  • Support / contribute to the other responsibilities of the department (crisis  management, build-to-order enhancement, Plant kaizen operations, supplier capacity confirmation, etc…)

 

Your Profile

For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language), any other European language is an asset
  • You have a university degree in Business Management, Supply chain, Computer Science or Engineering
  • You are a career starter (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)
  •  You have affinity with automotive and are passionate about quality
  • You are highly numeric, with strong logical and analytical skills (Excel & PowerBI).  Knowledge of programming language is a plus (eg: Python)
  • You have a strong interest in data management
  • You enjoy a multicultural and international environment
  • You are pro-active and willing to be a team player in an international team
  • You are stress resistant with a hands-on mentality
  • You have the ability to develop creative ways for operational challenges and for cost improvements
  • You are a pragmatic problem solver, result driven
