Your team and your responsibilities

Do you want to take part in the development of the automotive of tomorrow?  The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Located in the heart of Europe, Indirect Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our products and services.  As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers. This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.

 

Your responsibilities

 

    • develop and implement category and sourcing strategies for specific indirect categories of goods and services across Europe
    • negotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best cost reductions
    • manage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibility
    • make appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior management
    • develop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends
    • collaborate with stakeholders across Europe and with Toyota purchasing colleagues in other regions

 

Your Profile

For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)

  • you are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • youhave a university degree or higher education in business, purchasing etc.
  • you are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
  • you have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • you have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
  • you can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
  • you have strong planning and organization skills
  • you are computer literate (MS Excel, PowerPoint)
  • you are willing to travel up to 20%
